The work of the YSRCCYP represents high quality epidemiological and applied health research. The data held in the YSRCCYP has been used for a diverse range of research projects and publications, such as supporting UK Paediatric Oncology Coronavirus Monitoring Project, identifying factors which influence length of survival for low grade brain tumours and investigating unusual family patterns of cancers which occur within siblings.
Data and Infographics
The YSRCCYP has recently published several infographics detailing trends in incidence and survival in Leeds and Yorkshire.
Researchers can request to use data held in the YSRCCYP for further research.
National and International Collaboration
The YSRCCYP collaborates with other regional registries in the UK, such as the Northern Region Young Person’s Malignant Disease Register. Internationally, the data linkages employed by the Register have been recognised as exemplary methods of evaluating patient outcomes, and the Registry team collaborates with a range of international researchers.
